Pictures as thumbnails...

I choose in my "My Pictures" folder, to have everything show up as a thumbnail... The only problem is that only about 40 pictures show up as actual thumbnails, and the rest don't do anything except look like an icon in a thumbnail.. (get what I'm saying? =\)

I refresh it... I rearrange it, I close it and open it and everything, but that doesn't make the pictures that don't show up in the thumbnails actually show up... What's wrong here? What can I do to fix it? =\

My System

Go to Tools-Folder Options and make sure you have it set to show hidden/system files. Open the folder in question, find thumbs.db, and delete it. Press F5 and see if they all show up correctly (thumbs.db will be rebuilt).

There doesn't seem to be a folder (even with hidden/system files showing) that's named thumbs.db...

not all image files are viewable as thumbnails with win2k. you could use some 3rd party software such as irfanview and add 'browse with irfanview' to the shell menu. when you right click on a folder or drive you can then browse with thumbnails.
