Hi Im writing this for my sister
she has a computer that will not run it was running a few days ago but now when she goes to log on the screen goes blank when it turns on it shows the compaq start up screen But then it say's windows 2000 could not start beacuse the following file is missing are corrupt the file number is :/WRINNT/SYSTEM32/CONFIG/SYSTEMced start up option for widows 2000 press F8 but does not open ? she had bought this computer used and does not have the start up disk that it was asking for please help soon |

when you buy a computer if the disk is not supplied with it you are up for the cost of buying it,as you cannot run for long without requireing it
for f8 you need to keep tapping it as it is booting compaqs usually have a restore recovery partiton,that you access with one of the f keys whilst booting
