Delete Computer on Network

I renamed a computer on my businesses network, but the old computer name is still present & I cannot re-use it for another system. How can I go about deleting the old computer from the network?

If you're running an NT 4 Domain, go to the PDC and bring up Server Manager. In the list, find the PC you want to remove, highlight it, and delete.

Or wait for the timeout period, 30-60 days.
