If I launch windows explorer (explorer.exe not Internet Explorer) with the left pane active with the tree view, it will almost immediately freezes sometimes with only a part of the tree visible and sometimes with all of it visible. If I navigate from My Computer and never get a tree view, I can do anything I want without a freeze. This problem started after I ran Windows Update this morning and finally moved from IE5.5 to IE6 SP1. I need IE6 because of its better support of XML and XSL. The machine is a Dell Optiplex running Win2000 SP3. I can't upgrade the machine to SP4 because of compatability issues on the network.
Any ideas? |
