Installing after formating

Hi,

I have formated my C disk using the Fdisk on a win98 reboot disk. I have to say that I am not familiar with the terms and I wasn't sure exactly what I was doing. I just went on. At the end, I have created a DOS partion named FAT16. I tried to install the win2000 from my CD and I could not do it.
Whta did I do wrong? Can someone help telling me what to do step by step? Thank you all

Is your Win2000 CD a full edition or an upgrade edition?

I think you need to get rid of that FAT16 partition you have on there. Do you know what brand the hard drive is?

Put your Win2000 CD in the CD-Drive.

Restart the computer and enter the bios. (Usually the delete key)

Change the boot sequence to CD-Rom, Hard Drive then Floppy.

Save to bios and exit.

During the restart it should start reading the W2K CD.

Is this a brand name computer like Hewlett Packard or is it a home built type?
