Hey, gang. My machine was giving me the bsod and I fixed it with the repair console by renaming the system and copying one file, "copy C:\winnt\repair\system" (enter)
Now it boots, goes to the black screen, "starting Windows", goes to the next screen, the white one with the blue bar moving left to right, gets all the way to the right, and the sucker re-boots! I feel I'm close to the solution, I couldn't get rid of the bsod for a while, so I'm hoping it's relatively simple. Any Ideas? Thanks. Great forum. Scsherer |

They get read ... maybe some are doing research, or are working other threads ..
Have you tried a repair installation? Boot to the 2K cd, press ENTER at the first screen, then F8 for the license, then R to repair an existing installation. This may solve it, and you won't lose any data. |

sc -
This is a forum, populated with enthusiasts and a couple of moderators. I read your original post and it's so vague that I couldn't do anything with it. On many more hard-core forums being ignored is the best you could have hoped for. You're expected to do some research, then if you hit a blank wall, post a cogent thread with enuf details that someone can make something of it. What was the specific BSOD message you were getting? That might help. |
