cool
did that and went to a guy to fix it said all that was crap so suggested reinstalling windows. do you think i should do this? i think the problem was with my internet modem, as it is the only hardware i've installed recently |

Before doing anything drastic like spending a whole weekend re-formatting I'd pull that modem out (or simply unplug if it's external), then restart the PC. See if the error message goes away. Still there? I'd pull all non-essential cards and devices (including all but one stick of RAM) and try again.
That's a trick guys use when a newly-built PC is misbehaving - strip it down to the bare essentials and start adding the parts back in one at a time. I have no experience with that particular blue screen but if Windows is accurately diagnosing some sort of hardware failure then re-formatting won't address the problem... |
