Win2K Pro, Corrupt Reg./Sound Card not working
A friend gave me an old laptop, (Compaq Armada M300 - Intel Mobile Celeron 333Mhz, 256Mb Ram) I formatted and installed Windows 2000 Pro. I have no sound, and when I load WinAMP it says "Bad DirectSound driver. Please install proper drivers or select another device in configuration. Error Code:88780078" And when I go into the device properties, it says "Your registry may be corrupt." Any ideas? Any help is much appreciated.
