Dual Boot Win 98 & 2000 pro...how??

I just setup a older computer and I want a dual boot situation that includes win 98 SE and win 2k. Which one would I install first? and how would I set it up?

Thanks,

I googled your question by typing in "dual boot win 98 2000" ...

These guys say Win 9x first

http://www.duxcw.com/digest/Howto/so.../windows/dual/

Here's an interesting website. They've collected links to several articles on dual-booting various weird combinations of 9x, NT, W2K, etc.

http://labmice.techtarget.com/window...l/dualboot.htm

That oughta get you going. There were hundreds more where those came from.

My System

if you want the windows installer to create the bootloader for you, you will need to start with the oldest first, and then cascade down to the newest.

for my quad boot, i installed windows 98-lite, and then windows 2000, and then xp, and then mandrake linux.

keep in mind, linux never did care when i installed it, i just did it last for fun.

now, i am about to add windows ME to my line-up, and you guessed it, i will need to start over.

i will need to do 98-lite, then 2000 and ME in any order, (2k and ME are the same age) and then xp.

for seriously advanced users, there is definately a way to install whichever, whenever, wherever, but, that's beyond me, and i expect that a person knowing all those things wouldn't really have the desire to anyhow.

so it's just easier to do them oldest to newest, and let the windows installer do the hard stuff like bootloaders.
