I need help!

Hi how're you all guys, actually I need help, I downloaded a back up file for my site, which allows me to restore my website in case I had any problems, the file has TAR extention and when I extracted this file I found a file that have no extention, I think it's an image which my website is compressed in, so I don't know how can I explore this image and I don't know either what is the program which I can use to explore that file and open it, I appriciate your help, thanks in advance

.tar extension is Linux-based. W2K won't know what to do with it. Are you sure that's the d/l you wanted? Doesn't make any sense.

Hi...

you can open tar files with winrar but as for the file inside please try the following:

- In Windows Explorer, click 'Tools' then 'Folder Options' then the 'View' tab
- Remove the check from 'Hide extensions from known file types'
- Click Apply then OK to see if you can then see an extension to the file
- If it has one, try Googling the extension to find out more

If it is an image, you may need something like Alcohol 120% to explore it.
