Active Directory and DFS help/advice needed

I wonder if anyone reading this can point me in the direction of some very basic reading material, perferably online that will help me to configure two machines with Active Directory and DFS.

I have a Ghost server at work and am a bit concerned that if any of the images were lost there would be a lot of work to replace them. I know tape or DVD backups would be something to consider but management in their wisdom want a solution without any expense.

So I thought about using DFS to replicate the Ghost image folder from one machine to another. The Ghost images don't change or get updated too often yet, although that could change soon.

I'm a complete doofus when it comes to this.

I've had a go (plenty of goes) but I don't know what I'm doing with AD configuring and no-one in the office has any idea either.

Both machines are right next to each other and will be connected to the same switch. While experimenting I've been using two laptops connected with a crossover cable and using a static IP address on each machine, 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2.

I could ramble on and on about what I've done and what I thing I need help with, if anyone would be good enough to throw in their suggestions I could expand if necessary.

Thanks in advance

how about using windows backup utility and sending it to a remote server? way easier than DFS with less headaches. you can even have it over right the file name so you allways have the latest and greates images. use task scheduler to set a day and time every week to do this for you.
good luck
