Computer freezes when DSL software is activated

This is from a friend's computer. I had to post it for him because he can't get online anymore. His computer freezes when he tries to activate his DSL software. CNTL ALT DEL doesn't even work. Is there anything in this log file that might be causing problems? Any help would be appreciated.

These aren't "bugs", but his browser may be so confused that it has given up! :D

Open a new HJT log and check all of these items to be fixed. Then, with all browser and explorer windows closed, have HJT fix them.

Reboot.

Let us know what his status is and post a new HJT log, as well.

We fixed the problems you suggested. I'm helping him over the phone, so I can't send a new log file now. Fixing those did not solve his problem. Here's a more detailed description of his problem.

Immediatly after rebooting, he receives the messagebox, 10065:the session" no longer exists OK.

The software he uses to activate his DSL is
Enternet 300

When he runs it, it says
Cannot find gateway (it never said this back when it worked fine)
authenticating (this is normal)
Beginning negotiation (this is normal)
then it freezes and requires he power down the system.

I'm wondering if this is a problem he should take up with his DSL provider.

also, when it crashes, it draws a thin red horizontal line across the screen, about 1/4 inch from the top of the screen. The line looks 1 pixel wide.

Any other ideas?

I work for dsl support, if it does say cannot find gateway, have him try to uninstall all dsl software EXCEPT for enternt 300 which he would need to connect with. If he still isn't able to connect , then I would have him call ISP provider. I dunno if it freezes again, the ISP provider probably couldnt help w/that. Thats what these guys are for!
