W98 mark and delete problems

Hello, anybody:

When I want to empty out my temporary foldes, I am bogged down with litterally hundreds of files that I have to individually mark and delete; This in itself takes a long time, and I wish I could just block adn delete, but the problem is compounded by my computer's habit of automatically making copies of files when I block more than 3 or 4 ! ! ! I am not moving them across folders or partitions, just marking them and it does this automatically.

Any ideas how to stop it from doing this?

Thank you, Minstrel

I almost never tell anyone to spend money, but take a look at this product ($20).

I used the free version, and loved it so much that I opened my wallet and bought the retail version.

Arrow Clearing Files

Minstrel,

I know jgvernonco has addressed your problem, but I thought I'd mention that the quickest, easiest, and most thorough way to clear out your "Temporary Internet Files", "Cookies Folder", and "History Folder" is to go to the [Control Panel] --> [Internet Options] ---> [General Tab].

PS - If I have misunderstood your post (or am really as stupid as I feel today), feel free to send me a big raspberry and tell me to go back to bed.
