if you could post where the file is located that would be great help i can break down some of it:

ierunsub

ie=internet explorer
run=its a trigger exe to run a command
sub=domain????

try doing a search for the file, once found try moving it, once moved does internet explorer open or give any errors? could be spyware or a unknown virus, do a virus scan. If still nothing is found then delete it.

I remembered what it is. I was very tired yesterday and very brain dead. It's an IE4 file. The PC it's on is a P166. I believe it was running Dos 6 when he got it with win 3.1 installed. He has upgraded to win95 then to win98 so there's all kinds of stuff there. It still has 3dmenu loading before windows!

By the way the guy has Office 2000 PRO and Office 2000 SBE loaded and is wondering why Excel isn't working properly. This can't be a good idea. Also he was going to put Win XP on but had trouble getting going with it...thank goodness(p166 with 32MB!).

btw
It's in win.ini as load=ierunsub.exe

Thanks
