how to get 98 recognizes 2nd HD

i had a clean installed of 98
i have 2 hd and the bios recognizes both master and slave
but in my computer it only shows the master hd
how do i get 98 to recognizes the slave hd
its an old hd, is there a utility w/in 98 to enable the 2nd hd or i need a 3rd party soft

how do i check that and how do i format it if 98 does not sees it

boot from your 98 boot floppy into fdisk and format it from there
make sure you format the correct h/drive
