usb key
i have a generic usb key, and of course it does not work with 98 (i know it will never work with 95)
anywhere that i can download standard drivers for it? thanks

I think that's not the problem here, isn't the USB key not extra external RAM that you connect to the USB port ? and not a kind of software protection key ??

I guess a real description of what it is would really help. :) I call those USB memory or USB thumb drives, but many software makers use a USB key to lock their software, similar to the old parallel and serial port dongles that used to be real popular.

i have a usb key that a friend made for me, and my machine will not boot if it isnt in.
nothing can be done to disable this, short of a reformat and reinstall. i dont use it anymore, cos one time i lost it for a week, and had to reformat and reinstall, and never put the key driver back on it. it might be the retail version of something like this. ~BoB~
