If you formatted your hard disk and boot from a floppy, what do you expect it to boot to?

Take the floppy disk out of the system, leaving just the CD in the drive and then reboot the system. That should start the install process. If not can you give us the exact error message? Hope this helps.

Get a windows 98 boot disk here. Put a new floppy disk into your floppy drive and double click the file that you downloaded and it will create a boot disk for you. Boot the machine to this new boot floppy and select start computer with CD-Rom support.
When it gets to the A:> prompt type in E:\ then hit enter. With the Win.98 CD in the drive of course. When it changes over to the E drive type in setup then enter. If this is a Win.98 upgrade you will need a previous version of windows to show to the OS when prompted. |
