word 9.0 error message

Every time I attempt to open MIcrosoft Word 9.0 it comes up with the following error message OE:016F:BFF8E64B. This is my friends computer and he is running ME.

What is the make / model of the computer? Is this a laptop or desktop?
Is this a fresh install or has it ran ok in the past? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling? How about Repair?
