Does Adaware 1.06 work on WinME?

Apparently installs OK, no error messages. But then will not run. The same executable is perfectly OK on Win98 and Win98SE and Win2K and WinXP.

Any ideas?

Hello And welcome to TSF

When you double click on the icon what happens?

Uninstall and try one of these older versions. It could be some type of malware interferring with the program.

Ah, guess I miss read his question, there was a recent update from MS for ME which has caused some problems on my friends computer....maybe its doing the same here, my solution was to use the restore function and roll back....I'm trying to convince her to get XP and dump ME
