Recently I had to re-install all my programs in my computer and for some reason I cannot get my Scanner to work. When I run the install program everything goes OK and it tells me that the scanner is installed and that I need to reboot. When I reboot the little "bar" at the bottom of my screen goes through its triple check for the scanner and it tells me that the scanner is not installed properly. I have gone through this process several times to no avail. My computer is an IBM, my OS is Win 98, and my scanner is IBM IdeaScan 2000. Help!!!

Okay, did you clean install windows (reformat the hard drive, install windows and none of your programs or data are there) or did you dirty install (install windows over itself where when you boot up , things are there but do not work)?
Did you ever have the scanner connected to the PC before the time when it tells you to connect it and turn it on during the driver and software installation? Normally , it will say "Please leave the CD in the drive, shut down and connect your scanner and restart the PC" at which point it restarts the setup and finishes.
