win98se with dlink dwl-g630 wireless card
I have a good connection with the card. but I cannot browse the internet.
I did the ipconfig but gives me nothing. i did the release and renew_all but no avail. please help. |

Have you set the settings up correctly?

A WIFI router? Did you go into tools/ internet options/ connections and rerun the connection wizard and specify using the WLAN for connectivity? If not, windows is still opting to use whatever previous connection you had setup. Do you have WPA/PK or WEP enabled on the router? If so have you entered the needed password in the cards setup/ management tool? Can you see and browse other computers on the network? Can you access the router? If you have a firewall, try turning it off. This will let you know if you have to rerun the firewall access wizard and tell it to allow traffic via the wireless card.
