MSVCR70.DLL missing on one HD there on the other

I just installed Win 2000 on a new 80 gig WD. Installed the same Yahoo DSL CD that I used for the 40 gig Maxtor with Win 98. Yahoo runs fine on the old one and not on the other. I get message that msvcr70.dll is missimg and I can't find it on my c drive or the Yahoo CD. CAN ANYONE HELP WITH THIS?
THANKS

Hello and Welcome to TSF

You can get the msvcr70.dll file from HERE
The file is compressed so you need an unzip software in order to use the file.
You can try Winzip or Unzip

This is one reason I really recommend having a router when you have more than one PC, in fact I recommend it when you have any broadband connection.
With a router, you do not need to install the providers software on your PC

msvcr70.dll is part of the microsoft visual c runtime library
http://www.liutilities.com/products/...brary/msvcr70/

Normally , you get it when you run windows updates and get either the newest visual c runtime or .net framework.

If geekgirls suggestion does not solve your problem, I suggest

Re: MSVCR70.DLL missing on one HD there on the other

This was very helpfull information. I have always thought Yahoo! is very good, but that I am duplicating a lot of stuff that was there with MSN, which comes up automatically. Yahoo! takes up a lot of space and I have been thinking about deleting it because of spam. It seems to me that all the browsers are close to the same, although I havent used the others much, and the answer is to use the one that can best block spam. I hate to quit Yahoo and change my email address, but this spam is killing me. On my new computer MSN came up at first and I left it that way and just type in "yahoo" and I'm in Yahoo without all the megabites on my HDD. The only problem is jacking around between Yahoo! mail and Outlook. (I didn't mention that I have a router).

Thanks,
WD
