Pelcomm.dll Error!

Hi I am working on my cousins Windows 98 SE computer and he keeps getting an error on startup saying, "error opening a required PELCOMM.DLL file." I did some research and I believe that this dynamic link library comes installed on Windows 98 SE comps with ATI video cards OR just installed with 98 SE. I cannot download this file from any site that I found, so PLEASE if anyone has this file or can find it PLEASE attach it and email it to me as soon as possible to StreetMagic101@yahoo.com, Thanks a lot, Chris.

First try and Run the System File checker. Click Start/Run and type in sfc. Check the system for missing or corrupt files. You will may need your 98 cd.

If this does not help, with the system booted, place the 98 cd in the cd drive and install overtop existing o.s.

Also look in the Device Manager for any yellow? . Try reinstalling the video drivers if you feel it is related.

Sounds like you need to reload your mouse drivers (pelcomm.dll is part of the driver suite for the IBM scrollpoint II)
