Internet Explorer Problem

When I try to access a particular site (SBC.COM) I keep getting an error message that Internet Explorer has encountered a problem with the option of reporting it or don't send. I have no problem with other websites and when trying to access the same website on my other comp. with XP everything works fine. What should I look for and does anyone have advice.

My System

Make sure all your windows updates are complete - in IE go to Tools->Windows Update.

FYI - I'm using IE 6 SP1 (on Windows XP SP2) ... no problem here.

Do a repair of IE. Go to System Information and click on Tools.

I would also Run the System File Checker which can be executed in the same manner as going to System Information and click on Tools or you can do it this way.

Go to the Run box on the Start Menu and type in:

sfc /scannow ( sfc if not reconized)

This command will immediately initiate the Windows File Protection service to scan all protected files and verify their integrity, replacing any files with which it finds a problem. You will need your Windows cd.

Thanks for your assistance with my problem. I stumbled on to it myself
and just thought I would let you all know. My grandson had downloaded
Macromedia Flash Player and one of their files (flash.ocx) was the culprit.
I uninstalled the player and all is well. I really appreciate your help. Keep up the good work. And MERRY CHRISTMAS to you all.
