im working on my sisters computer and it says it cant detect my cdrom how do i fix this? if u need more info let me no. thank you

could you detect it before you worked on it?
If so what were you working on?

yes i have the case open, before it didnt say anything about cannot detect a cdrom but the cdrom didnt work its all plugged in should i try to install the drivers? i tryed the cd player in the multimedia and that when it says that.

Can you get into the BIOS and see if it shows there? Click on DEL or F2 to get into that.

im in the setup and i see ide adapters now i cant get it back to where i can load windows it says fixed disk failed click del to enter setup. no i dont see where it says the cdrom.

i changed the ide adapter in the set up board how do i change it back i forgot what it was on. now its showing error.
