Suprised Everything opens up DOUBLE... Help please.

I have a regular GE optical mouse that I have used for over a year now and am very comfortable and satisfied with.

Lately... though, it seems that anytime I open a file, be it an image or song or whatever, TWO instances will open up instead of one.

Any ideas what might be causing this. I have things set to USE ONE CLICK instead of DOUBLE-CLICKING but I've had that set for years and it never gave me a problem.

Any suggestions? Ideas?

Thanks in advance

DAVID

Yes ... I have tried a few, with the same result.

re-install mouse driver

Try re-installing the mouse driver from the original disk, or elsewhere.
