Win98 Machine giving trouble

My mom's win98 machine has worked fine for years. It looks like her 10gb hard drve has recently failed. I am replacing it with a 40gb maxtor I have.

I have reloaded win98 and copied her *dbx files, and am trying to test outlook express. The system keeps telling me I have to set up the internet connection. I have it attached to my netgear router.

My win xp is working fine on the internet.

Can anyone help me figure out what I am missing on Mom's PC

Just go thru the Connection Wizard. Either an icon on your desktop or got to Internet Properties in Control Panel / Connections tab / Setup button.

Make sure you have configured the email account in OE as well.

CTSNKY Knower of all that is MS Join Date: Aug 2004 Posts: 10,755 OS: (multiple machines) 95, 98, 2K & XP Home & Pro	Just go thru the Connection Wizard.
