missing drivers

i recently wiped hard drive clean and reinstalled windows 98.after reload if i go into system, device manager thee are 3 yellow question marks.
1. pci communicatin device
2. pci input controller
3. pci multi media audio device

i can't update drivers and it does not tell me what kind of hardware i have.
please help me anybody.

the system is hp 8575c and its about 4 tears old

I would guess that #1 and #3 are your rockwell modem/sound combo card. That driver is here.
