Something called VFAT not initialized at bootu

I got a boot error from one of my drives which had to do
with VFAT being initialized.

Is there something I need to reinstall from the Win98
disk?

No specific file was given that I could see.

There's a number of possible causes for that problem. There's help info at Microsoft.

For some reason the disk initialised ok on secondary slave.

Usual thing for me to do in this situation is run Fdisk /mbr
to refresh the boot record from the install disk.

That seemed to solve the problem.

I'll look over the M$ stuff too.
