Rundll 32 error

On occasion I get a internet explorer error, explorer will shut down.
If I hit ctrl alt del the close program box shows rundll32 running and it won't close without hanging up.
If I run msconfig I see listed 2 times with the box checked
LoadPowerProfile Rundll32.exe powerproof.dll.LoadCurrentPwrScheme

Could this be the problem, and can I uncheck it?

Might not be legit entries. Refer to this list Click on greyknights link below and follow the steps if you are suspicious about malware. Do you have any other problems that you have been experiencing with your OS ? Especially with your browsers ?
