A Sound issue with my laptop.

I am having a problem with my computer. It is a Dell Latitude cpt c series. I recently downloaded the audio driver I need for it, and I was trying to follow the instructions to install it. It says to go to the device manager, then to expand Sound, Videos and Game Controllers. The problem is Sound, Videos and Game Controllers doesn't show up in Device Manager. I was wondering if someone could help me with this problem. It has been bothering me for quite sometime. Thank you.

Unfortunately that didn't really help. That mainly just dealt with turning up the volume, and my problem is a bit more difficult then that.

Ok, I installed Direct X9, and now at least it is showing me Sound, Video and Game Controllers, but when I install the driver for my sound card it goes through, finishes successfully, but nothing becomes listed as a driver for my sound, and I still cannot hear sound.

Lol, sorry... I finally got it. Dell.com had posted the wrong driver. I googled it, found the real driver, and now it works.
