no dxdiag

Whenever i type dxdiag into RUN it says:

"windows cannot find dxdiag. You may of typed the name incorrectly in the Run dialog, or another open program cannot find the system file. To search for a file, press the start button, and click search."

This used to work before but does not anymore, and i already have directX 9.0c installed on my comp and im using a geforce 6600 video card

My System

Have you tried installing DirectX 9.0c again? DXDIAG has got to be in there somewhere. You could also bring up a DOS window and then:

cd \
dir dxdiag.exe /s

That will list all places where dxdiag.exe exists. I just tried Win ME and mine was in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM where it belongs.
