ME screen resolution
I'm having a bit of a strange problem with screen resolution. I don't change it, but occasionally it seems to have changed. How could this happen? Also....it seems to happen only in IE. I also use Mozilla and it never happens there.

Hi, welcome to TSF
Does it change resolution when you reboot or while you're actually using IE? What res does it change to and from? Are you doing anything like watching streaming video when this happens? Please post your system specs (graphics card, drivers, monitor, power supply etc) and we'll take it from there. You can get these details with Everest Home Edition, free from http://www.lavalys.com/products/over...?pid=1&lang=en

Does this happen when you open a new IE window, when you get a popup, when you go to a streaming video or ActiveX site, etc... anything unusual?
Are you running IE in fullscreen or windowed? What resolution? Are you using the IE-Zoom toolbar? You can use the Windows System File Checker to repair any damaged files (you will need your WinXP CD) Go to Start > Run and type sfc /scannow (with the space) Follow the prompts and when it's complete, reboot and run IE again.

I haven't really notice when it happens, only "that" it happens. All of a sudden I'm online and walla! I'm looking at larger print.
But here's the wierdness. My resolution hasn't changed, the numbers that is. But it is obviously different. How can I tell whether I'm running IE in fullscreen or windowed? It looks fullscreen to me. No, I don't think I'm running IE zoom toolbar. I'm going to try to use Windows System File checker. Will your instructions work for ME? |

Or if your mouse doesn't have a scroll wheel, open IE and go to View > Text Size.
EDIT: Sorry, forget about SFC. I forgot we were in the Windows ME section. Doh!
