Sound Card/Kazaa Problems

Just recently my sound stopped working. Nothing became unplugged and no settings were changed on my computer. At the time of the incident, I'm pretty sure I was running Kazaa Lite (K++), which might make it a possible conflict. My sound card is a Sound Blaster Live Value and my operating system is Windows 98 Second Edition. I've already attempted to uninstall then reinstall the drivers/software for the soundcard, but to no avail. If anyone knows how to fix this problem, it would be greatly appreciated.

Double click on the little yellow speaker in the system tray and see if anything is turned all the way down or muted.

I've also done that as well. Nothing is muted or turned down. No settings have been changed.

make sure you don't have the sound lowered or muted in any media players... like Real ONE...it will mute it on all other players.
