the white flash horizontal screen (of death)
woe is me.
current system: win98, celeron 500mhz, recent upgarde from 128 to 512mb ram, 10gb hd, ati xpert2000 vdo card, hooked up to asus p2-99 mobo. in the midst of using - everything seemed okay - suddenly, the screen flashes and turns into a bright horizontal line cutting across mid-screen. tried: reboot, power off then on, remove vdo card from mobo and resecure to ensure good connection... none of it works. what's the problem??? please help! |

Hello and Welcome to TSF
Try a different monitor to see if you get the same results. You may need to replace the video card instead of just reseating, it may have gone bad.
