Windows 98 CD-Floppy

hey guys,
I have an old laptop that needs to be formatted. The laptop only has a floppy drive. I have a Windows 98 CD. Is there a way to make floppy disks from the CD?

Thanks
Mike

I suppose you could do it that way if you really want to, you'll need about 87 floppies ( Win98 is 121 Megabytes ) a zip program that does disk spanning...

I think you might find it cheaper, faster, and easier if you get a 2.5/3.5 IDE Converter at the local computer store ($10), take out the hd, put it in your computer as a slave and copy the win98 folder to it.

You might want to partition/format it first though, go here to get a bootdisk

If you like fancy gadets here's a nice one

As long as you have the correct connection on the laptop, the drive should work (I'm guessing USB?).

You may need some drivers so that the computer will detect the dvd drive though. Look through the stuff that came with the drive and see if there are any floppy disks. If not, tell us the brand/model of the drive and we will look for drivers for you.
