clock error

hello all!! I have an old hp with windows me. every once in a while the clock at the bottom of the sys. tray will be way off , like 3 or 4 hours. then I reset it then its ok for a while. what could be causing this?

It seems that ur CMOS Battery is running out,
try a different brand new battery.
