Confused Computer asking for product code

Compaq Presario with 98SE is asking for windows product code out of nowhere. This is a computer that I have had since it was new about 5 years ago with 98SE loaded in it. How do I get it working again?

My System

You could try re-inputting the cd-key (if you still have it) but it sounds like you've got a bit of registry corruption. Try reading this and see if it helps some.
