CD-r/DVD?????

In my old computer, I took out a bad HP CD-Writer Plus. I installed a Liteon Combo Drive (52X32X52 CD-RW and 16X DVD ROM). Under System>Device Manager it indicates a Philips CCD 4851 CD-R/RW. Can some one please tell me what's going on and what I'm doing wrong? There is no Internet access for this particular computer. Thanx in advance

I have found part of my problem. The remaining problems is the drive is indicated as a CD ROM and not a DVD ROM

My System

The jumper settings for the HP CDRW aren't necessarily the same for the Liteon, unless it's just the master/slave settings.

Did you install the drivers that came with your new Liteon drive?
