Some help regarding the volume
Hi,
My windows ME computer recently stopped working regarding its volume. Recnently, the sound has stopped coming out the speakers altogether. Also, the icon on the bottom right task bar has dissappeared where before I could adjust the volume properties. Are there any things that I may have done wrong in order for this to happen? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

Not sure what has happened
 A few things to check, go to Device Manager and see if there are any yellow ? beside the sound,video and game controllers device. Also look in the control panel, double click multimedia, see what is listed as the preferred device. Theres also a box you can place a checkmark in to show icon in the taskbar, it should be located near the bottom when you open multimedia.

What cant you access?
Did you see anything in the Device Manager? Do you have on-board sound or an adapter card?
