src.zip?
sorry i dunno where to ask this, feel free to move the post.i am trying to d/l GIMP and well an extra file comes in .zip and src.zip versions.what's the difference?cant find what src stands for on the net duh!

Have you tried d/ling GIMP as EXE?
The way I got GIMP was by burning the "live cd" of Ubuntu Linux, and putting it into the cd drive. A window opened up, I installed GIMP from it and whamo!! There you go. (Just no help files) Last edited by Spatcher; 06-29-2005 at 03:08 PM. |

yes i ended up d/l both the file group that had the src.zip file and just the exe and environment files.tried running the exe and environmeny and it works fine except that it wants two dll's to be renamed

SRC is probably for 'source', ie the uncompiled source code rather than the executable code.
