Troubleshooting the troubleshooters?

HELP! I wish I could "help" myself, but for some reason my help pages in Windows 98SE do not load, I expect I'm missing a file, but I don't know how to extract the correct one. I know how extract a file, but cannot figure out where the missing one is? What it's called and how to replace it? Nor where to put it when find it?

Run the System File Checker and see if it picks up any missing files

Go to the Run box on the Start Menu and type in:

sfc
This command will immediately initiate the Windows File Protection service to scan all protected files and verify their integrity, replacing any files with which it finds a problem.

Thanks for the prompt answer, I have already done this as I said but unfortunately it didn't pick up any missing or corrupt files. I know how to extract files, the problem is I don't know where the pesky file is, nor what its called, nor where to put it when I extract it?????? Any help gratefully received.

Do you get an error message, if so what is the complete message

Try to reinstall wow32.dll in Windows/System. Here it is: wow32.dll
