1208: Ansi Code Page..
Good morning to everyone.
I was trying to install a file when it warned me "1208: ANSI CODE PAGE LANGUAGE FOR ENGLISH (UNITED KINGDOM) is not installed, etc etc" It then quit installing. I went to the MS Knowledge Database, but couldn't find out much. How do I add this ANSI Code Page for english (UK)??? Much appreciated. Thanks! (I am on Win98SE) |

You need to fire up setup and add the code page. It's been a long time since I tried to change this stuff, but in CP, the Regional Settings is where you set the code page for Windows applications. In W2K, it automagically downloads new languages if you need them, what happens if you attempt to set the language to UK English?

Thanks mate -
I had tried that and rebooted the laptop but to no avail. However, when I tried to run the installation file a few days later (after shut down) it worked w/o a glitch. So I guess, yes, we went about it the right way ^_^ Thanks once more! |
