WinME "No Operating System Found"

I have a HD that I removed from the case and then quickly put back in to the same spot. When I went to turn on I recieved the error message "No Operating System Found." I then tried the HD in 3 diffrent computers with the same error. I have also tried starting with a bootdisk (98 & ME) recieved the error that nothing was found. I am running a memory check right now. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to recover information off of this HD if possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello and Welcome to TSF

Make sure your connections are secure. Checking the IDE cable and the power cable.

If you need to retrieve information you may try setting it as a slave drive on another machine.

make sure the pins are all straight on the harddrive
motherboard connection looks ok?

When you go into CMOS setup can you see it there.
Make sure you did not lose or change the master/slave jumpers.
