Cry Win98 lost memory on partition

Any help welcome.

I have just partitioned and reloaded Win98 on my (quite old) PC. It has a 6Gb hard drive.

When I go to Explorer and look at the C drive properties it says I only have 3Gb of disk space.

I partitioned it with only one primary partition and when I check using Fdisk from the command line it says there is 6Gb in a primary DOS partition. Also when booting up the BIOS screens tell me there is a 6Gb disk in place. Where is my 3Gb of disk space gone? I can't reload all my applications and data files.

Thanks
Furious D

Check to see if the BIOS is set to "Normal" , AUTO, or LBA should be LBA or AUTO (I suspect that you may have already checked this) Another possibility may be a disk loader still may be in the boot area of the disk
