system information links to paint
One of my computers runs win98se, I use it very infrequently. Mostly my dad uses it for word processing and light internet browsing. Today I was doing a little bit of maintenance on it and I realized that when I tried to click on system information in start>programs>accessories>system tools, it linked straight to paint. I hae no idea where it's supposed to point to because I usually run xp machines, and for xp, the file is msinfo32.exe but I couldn't find that on the Win98 computer. Is there a different name for it on win98? I'm running ad-aware, spybot, zonealarm, norton. None of them came up with problems.

Prometheus, try this path: "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\MSINFO\MSINFO32.EXE" .
Hopefully this will get your sysinfo running again!

haha I found it, I can't believe I was so dumb, your post jolted my thinking. I moved my common files location to my alternate partition and I never bothered to search for msinfo32.exe on E: only on C:, no wonder I couldn't find it...I have it working now.
