Hi,

This error can be many things, possible slight memory error, error on a web page, or even the way an advertisement is dealt with on a web page. Anyhow, most are harmless and we usually just turn them off since they don't mean anything:

If you wish to do that, this usually works:

Tools>>Internet Options. Then click on the Advanced tab and make sure that you have ticked "Disable script debugging" and unticked "Display a notification about every script error"

Hope this helps.

Click Start>Run type in msconfig and click the Startup tab.
Look for the Microsoft Update Kb891711, if listed take the check out of the box click Apply and reboot.

This may not solve your porblem but this update has caused problems in many 98/ME systems.

Researching your issue seems to have something to do with Java.
Please read over these links
http://www.runtimeerror.com/cgi-bin/...num=1109120504

Go to Sun Java
and download 'JRE 5.0 Update 1 includes the JVM technology' - 'JRE for Windows'.
You might have to uninstall your current version of your JDK software. You will know if you try to download the new updated version because it will give you and error telling you that it detected a current version and to uninstall it. If no error appears, dowload will continue and you should not get any errors after that.

Hmmm, it seems to work fine for me. Did it do it each time you tried or did you only try once?

Have you used the Run the System File Checker yet.

Go to the Run box on the Start Menu and type in:

sfc

This command will immediately initiate the Windows File Protection service to scan all protected files and verify their integrity, replacing any files with which it finds a problem.
