Win98 and NTFS file system-- School me on this, please
Only recently I have begun to use dvd programs.
One of these does a diagnostic on startup and says 'warning Fat32 file system only supports files up to 4G.' And then something about NTFS file system. Can I format to NTFS and use Win98. How? Or does NTFS only work with newer versions like NT? Wait, does NTFS mean NT-File system? |

Check out http://www.sysinternals.com ... they have a package that allows 98 to read and write to NTFS partitions.

Does switching from FAT32 To NTFS change drive capacity?
I'm wondering since I want to install Win98SE in FAT32 (because I read on the M$ site that you have to)(on one partition) then install WinXP (on another partition). I don't know if I can safely put NTFS to install WinXP or not. I'd like to use it to have the stability and advantages of NTFS. Anybody know?
