HI Have a message on windows 98se at desktop. Says cannot find file.
RUNDLL C:\windows\system\nvmctray.dll
Tried to reboot windows from startup disk. Says i have a disk compression tool installed. Can run win 98se from setup on disk.
Does not clear Error. How can I find this file Tried Run and did a search
but it doesn't find it . please help

You can get the file you need here . Just follow the instructions.

NvMcTray.dll is loaded as a startup item. This is the tray icon to easily change a number of settings. Games like Everquest actually need this to be running.

Have you recently uninstalled that game or another program/game?
If you get the file from the lin provided by superflysmith just drop it in the default location which is C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder
