MSIMN invalid page fault
I do not know much about the inner working of computers, but it seems there are people out there who can and are willing to help people like me with some of the odd stuff that happens in our computers. These days when I go into Internet Explorer and I get the following message within about 30 seconds " "MSIMN caused an invaild page fault in module DirectDB.DLL at 0246:Okdf6bbl." I am then booted out of Explorer. Sometimes I just get booted out with no error message appearing. Does anyone have a clue what this means and how this can be fixed?
Somehow I suspect that it has something to do with conflicts in my anti virus software, (I recently tried to change from Norton to Panda, but have been unable to completely remove Systemac stuff form my computer) and it may be connected to a general slowing of my computer, which does not seem related to spyware or adware or any of those sorts of things. Theoretically, I still seem to have plenty of memory available in the machine as well. By the way, I have Windows 98. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Last edited by wccw; 04-16-2005 at 05:48 PM. |
